All-Bran Muffins

2 tablespoonfuls shortning
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup Kellogg’s All-Bran
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoonful baking powder
1 cup sour milk

Yield: 12 medium sized muffins.


[1] Cream shortning and sugar, add egg.

[2] Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt.

[3] To creamed mixture add All-Bran, then milk alternately, with dry ingredients.

[4] Pour into greased muffin tins.

[5] Bake in moderate oven (370 F) for 20 minutes.
