Lovely sweet crescents with grated apples that taste like a dream freshly baked. Try them with your favourite cheese or marmalade. Double the ingredients and freeze half the crescents for later.
This portion makes 8 apple crescents
4 dl [0,8 pt] flour
1 dl [0,2 pt] oatmeal
1 teaspoon of ground cardamom
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons sugar
½ package of yeast
3 dl [0.6 pt] lukewarm water
4 apples, grated
 Stir yeast into some of the water heated to lukewarm. Add all the rest of the ingredients and mix together to a smouth dough. Cover with plastic and allow the dough to rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place.
 Knead the doughs. Roll it out to a large round disc (like a pizza bottom). Use a pizza wheel or a knife and cut into 8 triangles (like pizza slices).
 Grate the apples roughly and spread them on the triangles and roll these up toward the pointed end.
 Put the rolls on the baking sheet and bend them into crescents. Leave them to rise for about 20 minutes. Brush with whipped eggs.
 Bake in the oven at 220° C / 430° F for about 10-12 minutes.
