Chicken in Port Wine

Chicken in Port Wine

1 spring chicken
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon margarine
2/3 cup port wine
1 clove garlic, minced
1/3 pound mushrooms, sliced
1/3 cup heavy cream


[1] Cut Chicken into 8 pieces. Mix flour, salt, paprika, and pepper in a plastic bag. Dredge chicken pieces in the bag.

[2] Brown Chicken on all sides in margarine. Add Port Wine and let the chicken simmer for about 15 minutes. Add garlic, mushrooms, and cream. Let simmer for another 10 minutes.

Makes 4 servings.
