Classic Herring Salad

1,1 pound / 500 g cured herring fillet
3 boiled potatoes
3 apples
0,35 oz. / 10 grams of beetroot
2 onions
1 pickled gherkin
0,65 pint / 3 dl sour cream
10,5 oz. / 300 g of mayonnaise
1 pint / 0.5 dl vinegar

Sugar to taste

Number of servings: 10

Mix the sour cream and mayonnaise with chopped onions and pickles. Add the boiled potatoes, apples and pickled beets cut into 1/3 inch cubes. Carefully mix in the herring fillet cut in approximately 1/3 inch slices. Season with vinegar and sugar.
