D C Style Apple Cake

Ingredients
Cake:

3 eggs
3,75 dl [0,8 pt] oil
455 g [1 lb] sugar
330 g [0,725 lb] flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
100 g [3,5 oz] pecans
7.5 dl [1,6 pt] peeled, chopped apples, core removed
Glaze:
120 g [4,25 oz] butter
200 g [7 oz] packed brown sugar
4 tablespoons milk

Approach

[1] Mix all cake ingredients and pour into a 9 x 12,5 in mould. Bake in 180° C / 355° F heated oven for 45 minutes or until a toothpick is dry when it is plugged in and pulled out.

[2] Cook the glaze ingredients in a small saucepan for 2 1/2 minutes. Poke holes in the cake and pour glaze over it.
