Filled Pork Chops

4 servings

4 thick pork chops
4 thick slices Jarlsberg cheese
4 slices of cured ham
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tablespoons butter/oil for frying

This is what you do

[1] Split the chops horizontally from the rind towards the bone and put a slice of cheese and one of ham in the “pocket”.

[2] Season the chops with salt and pepper and fry them on a hot frying pan for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

[3] Turn off the heat but leave the pan where it is and place a lid partially over the frying pan and let the chops stay in the pan for another 5 minutes. Open the “pocket” slightly to see if the meat has changed color completely.

Server with boiled potatoes sauted with parsley and a salad.
