This is an easy fish casserole that you can make while the potatoes or rice is cooking. Use fresh fish fillet or half defrosted fish in block.
3 tablespoons margarine
1 chopped onion
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 – 1 teaspoon curry
4 dl [0,8 pt] milk
1 tsp salt
600 g [1,3 lb] fish fillets (for example cod, haddock or pollock)
300 g [0,66 lb] mixed vegetables to taste
Let the margarine and onion simmer in a saucepan for a few minutes until the onion is shiny.
Stir in flour and curry and dilute with milk. Leave the sauce to simmer for five minutes.
Add the fish cut into serving pieces.
Let the dish cook on low heat for about 10 minutes until the fish is almost done.
Add the vegetables and let it all simmer under cover for a few minutes.
Serve with boiled potatoes or rice.
