4 large grapefruit
4,2 oz. / 120 g sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 tablespoons brandy
Peel the grapefruit and pick away all the white. Cut into 1 inch / 2.5 cm thick slices and remove the core and pits gently.
Pour 0,3 pint / 1 1/2 dl water in a large skillet, stir in sugar and cinnamon and boil while stirring until sugar is dissolved. let boil vigorously for 2 min.
Reduce the heat. Add grapefruit slices in the syrup, and pouch them gently for 6 min. Turn the slices after 3 min.
Place the grapefruit slices on a serving dish. Pour brandy over and serve them hot or cold.
