375 g [0,8 lb] dried yellow peas
2 liters [4,225 pt] water
250 g [0,55 lb] lightly salted pork
250 g [0,55 lb] boiled beef
1 onion, finely chopped (optional)
1 teaspoon mustard
 Rinse the peas and let them lie in the water for about 12 hours. Cook them in the water, foam constantly.
 Cut the meat into cubes and place it in soup. Add spices and chopped onion if you use it, put the lid on the pan and let the soup boil until the peas are soft.
