What could be better than mom’s homemade wheat bread? Here is the recipe.
2 ½ kg [5,5 lb] flour
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon sugar
½ pk yeast
250 g [0,55 lb] butter
7 ½ dl [1,9 pt] milk
7 ½ dl [1,9 pt] water
 Mix the yeast with all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Crumble softened butter into the flour. Mix in the liquid, and knead well.
 Cover the mixing bowl with plastic or a kitchen towel, and set the dough to rise.
 Put the dough onto floured surface and divide it into four equal pieces. Work each piece well and roll into a ball Set them to rise for 30-45 minutes.
 Bake at 200-250° C / 390-480° F for about 45-60 minutes.
