Varm Brie with Bacon

A delicious snack/lunch recipe found on gilde.noHot Brie with Bacon

Ingredients
1 small brie
1 pack of bacon
1 – 2 apples
1 tablespoon butter
A handful of hazelnuts
5  thyme sprigs
4 tablespoons honey

Approach

[1] Cross two slices of bacon and follow with the remaining slices till they form forms a circle.

[2] Put  the brie in the middle of the circle and pack the bacon around it.

[3] Turn the cheese around and place it in a oven safe mould. This way the bacon is locked under the cheese.

[4] Bake the brie at 200 C / 390 F until the bacon has a nice colour and the cheese has melted.

[5] Take it out and leave it on the kitchen counter while preparing the rest so that the cheese can set slightly.

[6] Roughly chop the hazelnuts and roast them golden in a dry frying pan. Cut the apples in wedges and fry them in a little butter.

[7] Server the bacon wrapped brie with fried apples, roasted nuts, thyme and honey.
