Delicious large rolls glazed with honey.
6 dl [1,2 pt] water
½ pk yeast
1 kg [2,2lb] flour
1 tablespoon salt
½ dl [0,1 pt] olive oil
½ dl [0,1 pt] honey for brushing
Flour for decoration
This is what you do
Warm the water to 37° C / 98,5° F. Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm water.
Mix flour, salt and olive oil with the lukewarm yeast mixture and knead well until you got a smooth dough that lets go of the sides of the mixer bowl. Cover the dough with plastic or a kitchen cloth and allow to raise to double size, about 45 minutes.
Put the dough on a lightly floured baking table. Cut it into 16 or 32 parts, depending on how large you want the rolls. Shape into slightly elongated rolls. Cover with plastic or cloth and let rise to almost double size, about 30 minutes.
Melt the honey and brush the rolls and dust lightly with flour just before they go int the oven.
Bake the rolls in the middle of the oven at 225° C / 435° F for about 10-20 minutes depending on size. Cool on a rack.
