Richer, Creamier – 1/3 The Time, Makes about 2 1/2 cups sauce
1 2/3 cups (1 large can) undiluted evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoons salt
1 cup (4 oz.) cubed or grated process-type American cheese
Combine Carnation and salt in saucepan over low heat. Heat until small bubbles appear around edges of pan (about 2 minutes). Add cheese and keep sauce over heat about 1 minute, or until the cheese melts. Stir occasionally. Pour over cooked vegetables and serve at once.
