Little 'Ticci' Tarts

Most everybody thinks of spaghetti when Italian cookery is mentioned, but few persons are aware of the fact that the little tart which fills such an important place on our dessert list is almost as popular in some parts of Italy as the well-known spaghetti.

1 Pint Sealtest Butter Pecan Ice Cream
1 1/2 cups soft custard
1 large apple
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons sugar
6 tart shells
Whipped cream
Maraschino cherries

Slice apples and arrange in a buttered shallow baking pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar and bake in a moderate oven (375° F.) until rather soft. Pour custard into tart shells and put apple slices on top. Fill with Sealtest Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Garnish with whipped cream and cherries.

This will serve six.
