Lunch Rolls with Cheese

(Will make about 30)

5 dl [1 pt] milk (or 50/50 milk and water)
50 g [1,75 oz] margarine or butter
50 g [1,75 oz] yeast
3 dl [0,6 pt] grated cheese
about 1 liter [2 pt] (600 g/1,3 lb) flour

[1] Melt the butter/margarine. Heat the milk to lukewarm. Dissolve the yeast in some of the milk. Stir milk and yeast into the melted fat.

[2] Mix the cheese and wheat flour well and add the liquids. Work the dough together and set it to rise.

[3] Out the dough on the counter and knead it a little. Add more flour if necessary.

[4] Roll out small, round or oblong rolls and place them on the baking sheet.

[5] Bake the rolls 8-10 minutes at 225 C / 435 F degrees.

[6] Brush the rolls with warm water when still hot.
