Norwegian Oatmeal Dreams

A recipe for delicious small confectionery balls found on
Norwegian Oatmeal Dreams

A nice little treat for the Christmas candy dish. Try these
delicious “confectioneries” with oatmeal and marzipan.

225 g [8 oz] marzipan
150 g [5,3 oz] butter
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 dl [0,6 pt] oatmeal, quick boiled
1 dl [0,2 pt] grated coconut


[1] Grind the marzipan roughly. (If the marzipan is very soft, you may want to put it in the freezer for a few hours)

[2] Work butter at room temperature into the marzipan. You can use a kitchen machine.

[3] Add cocoa powder and oatmeal and stir well.

[4] Make small, round balls (10-20 grams / 0,35 – 0,70 oz) and roll them in grated coconut.

[5] Store the balls cold.

[6] Store the balls in an airtight box. Put some baking paper between the layers.

Tip: The oatmeal will taste extra nice if they are roasted slightly in a dry fryingpan before starting to make the confectionery balls.
