Norwegian Potato Patties

Norwegian Potato Patties

These potato patties are very easy to make and can be used for a lot of different kind of meals. For breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, hiking food or an evening meal. And you can spread them with just about anything.

200 g [7 oz] boiled potato
½ teaspoon of salt
2 eggs
¾ dl [0,15 pt] milk
1 dl [0,2 pt] flour
2 tablespoons butter for frying


[1] Grind peeled, boiled potatoes roughly. Mix in salt, egg and milk. Stir in the flour and mix to a lump free batter. Heat a frying pan to medium heat. Add some butter. Use about 1/2 dl / 0,1 pt of  batter for each patty. Fry them a few minutes on each side.

[2] Potato patties can be used for almost any kind of meal. Top them with ham, cold cuts, jam or cheese or use them instead of potatoes for dinner.
