Norwgian Crispy Cinnamon Sticks

Simple and fast Christmas cakes with a great taste of cinnamon. These cakes are included as one of the seven kinds of Christmas cakes baked in many Norwegian families.

2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
200 g [7 oz] butter
100 g [3,5 oz]  icing sugar
300 g [10,5 oz] flour

This is what you do

[1] Mix sugar and cinnamon.

[2] Whip butter and icing sugar white and airy. Mix in the flour.

[3] Roll the dough into the finger thick long sausages. Cut them into about. 5 cm / 2 in long sticks and roll them in the cinnamon and sugar mixture.

[4] Bake at 180 C / 355 F for about 10 minutes.
