3 blocks (3 oz.) baking chocolate, melted
2/3 cup condensed milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 cups confectioner’s sugar, sifted
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup dates. chopped
Melt chocolate in double boiler. Add condensed milk, and cook 5 minutes, stirring until mixture thickens. Remove from fire, add butter and vanilla. Sift in sugar, and blend thoroughly. Fold in chopped nuts and dates. Scrape mixture into buttered square fudge pan, smoothing top with spatula. Chill 4 hours in refrigerator. Cut into squares.
Makes about 30 pieces.
