They knew how to make much out of little in the old days. It only took some cordial, water, a little sugar and semolina to make a large bowl of delicious dessert. Just check it out!
4 dl [0,8 pt] good cordial, preferably made with red currants
4 dl [0,8 pt] water
sugar to taste
80 g [,8 oz] semolina
 If the cordial is a bit thin, feel free to use more cordial and less water.
 Bring the cordial/water mixture to a boil and season to taste with sugar. Whisk in the seminola, and let the dessert simmer for about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally tomake sure nothing sticks to the bottom of the saucepan.
 Pour the desert into the bowl of a mixer and whisk until the mixture is completely cooled, light, fluffy and porous.
 You can also whisk the Russian dessert by hand. If so, put the bowl in cold water, it wil make the dessert cool faster.
 Server the Russian dessert with custard, light cream, or milk.
