Salmon Burgers on Potato Patties

Salmon Burgers on Potato Patties

Done in about 60 minutes

Salmon burgers:

500 g [1 lb] salmon fillet
A handful of dill
1 tablespoon grated horseradish
½ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of pepper
Potato Patties:
300 g [0,65 lb] potatoes
1 egg
Salt and pepper
1 pk little gem lettuce
1 pk spring onion
½ handful dill
4 tablespoons pickled beets
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper


Peel and cook the potatoes. drain off the water and cool a little.

Salmon burgers: chop the salmon roughly and mix with finely chopped dill, salt, pepper and grated horseradish. Stir till the mixture is firm. Form the mixture into 8 small burgers and put them on a baking paper.

Potato patties: Mash the potatoes with masher or whisk. Mix in the egg well and taste with salt and pepper. Make small potato patties and fry them on both sides in a little olive oil.

Salad: Grate the little gem lettuce finely andmix with chopped onions and the rest of the chopped dill. Cut the beets into strips and mix all in a bowl with olive oil. Taste with lemon juice, salt and pepper.

Fry the salmon burgers quickly on both sides in a hot pan with a little oil and serve on potato patties with the salad.

Chef’s tips: A creamy creme fraiche or a yogurt dressing tastes delicious with the burgers!
