How to do it
For this recipe for homemade christmas brownies, you’ll need a 25 x 30 cm / 10 x 12 in mould that you line with baking paper.
 Set the oven to 200° C / 390° F.
Melt butter in a saucepan. Break the chocolate into pieces, put them in the butter and let them melt. Mix together flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Whisk egg and sugar light and airy. First add the flour mix to the egg/sugar mix, then the butter and chocolate mix.
Pour the dough into the mould. Spread chopped walnuts over the dough and fry the brownies cake in the middle of the oven at 200° C /390° F for about 15 minutes. Cool on a rack.
Tip: Brownies should be a little sticky in the middle.
Use a gingerbread cutter to cut out pieces of the brownie cakes.
Wash the strawberries and remove the stem. Stir vanilla sugar into the cream cheese till you got a slightly softer texture. Fill a piping bag with the cream cheese and spray a ring around the strawberries, which you have placed on the punched out piece of brownie cake. Also, remember to spray a small ball on top of the strawberry to make it look like a santa bubble-hat.
Tip: If you do not have a piping bag, use a regular plastic bag and cut a small hole in the corner of the bag.
