Spaghetti Baked With Burgundy


Mince 1 onion, 1 clove garlic, 1/2 green pepper and fry lightly in 1/4 cup bacon fat or other meat frying. Add 1/2 lb. ground beef and cook, stirring until seared. Add 2 1/2 cups canned or diced fresh tomatoes, 1 tablespoon sugar and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 30 minutes. Add 1/2 cup burgundy wine mixed  with 3 cups cooked spaghetti and 3/4 cups cheese.  Bake 1 hour at 325o F.

Serves 4 – 5 people
