Pastry:
0,6 pt. / 3 dl flour
4,4 oz./ 125 g butter
3 tablespoons water
Filling:
1 pkg. frozen spinach
4,6 oz. / 130 g feta cheese
1 garlic wedge
4 eggs
0,4 pt. / 2 dl cream, 20 %
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon pepper
4 servings
[1] Crumble butter and flour, and stir in water until you get a smooth pastry. You can also make the dough in a food processor. Or use a finished pie dough, which you put in the mould and cools approximately 30 minutes. For ready made pastry you need not pre-brown before filling the pie.
[2] Roll out the dough and dress a pie dish. Prick the bottom with a fork and bake at 390° F / 200° C for 15 minutes.
[5] Thaw spinach and squeeze out the water.
[4] Crumble feta cheese with a fork and finely chop the garlic.
[5] Beat together eggs, cream, nutmeg and pepper. Mix in spinach, feta and garlic. Pour mixture into pie shell.
[6] Bake pie at 345° F / 175° for 30-40 minutes, until egg mixture sets.
