found on svt.se
2 ½ dl [0,5 pt] flour
1 dl of [0,2 pt] sugar
2 tsp vanilla sugar / vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon finely ground cardamom
100 g [3,5 oz] cold butter
2 tablespoons Golden Syrup (Lyle’s or similar)
 Set the oven to 200° C / 390° F.
Mix all dry ingredients in a food processor. Add the butter in cubes and run till you got a crumbly mix. Add the syrup and run into a dough.
Divide the dough into 3 pieces and roll to lengths approximately 2 cm in diameter. Put them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Flatten the lengths to about 3 cm / 1 1/5 in width.
Bake in the middle of the oven for 10-12 minutes, until they start coloring. Cut the slices in oblique pieces immediately after you have taken the lengths out of the oven.
