A useful and tasty sauce found on frukt.no
A useful sweet and sour sauce delicious in wok dishes with vegetables or as dips for spring rolls. It also tastes delicious with fried chicken and fish dishes.
1 dl [0,2 pt] white wine vinegar
2 garlic wedges
2 red chili without skin and seeds
2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
3 dl [0,6 pt] sugar
2 tablespoons grated orange peel
The juice of 1 orange
 Cut the plums in two and remove the stones. Peel the garlic. Cut chili in two and remove seeds and skin. Cut it into small pieces. Wash the oranges well, grate the shell and squeeze out the juice.
 Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan. Boil the sauce for about 25 minutes. Stir occasionally. Use a hand mixer and mash till you got a smooth sauce.
 Store in clean bottles in the refrigerator or freeze in boxes / plastic bags.
