200 g [0,45 lb] of bacon
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 bay leaf
salt and pepper
1 bottle of dark beer
 Fry the bacon in olive oil in hot deep frying pan.
 Cut the onion and cabbage into strips and place in pan with the bacon. Cook on medium heat until the cabbage starts to soften. Pour in the beer, sprinkle with salt and pepper and add the bay leaf. Put a lid on the pan and let the cabbage simmer for 20-30 minutes.
 Fry the sausages and serve them piping hot with cabbage mixture.
