Fresh bread is always nice, and if you have a few hours to spare one day you can easily bake your own.
50 g [1,8 oz] yeast
4 dl [0,8 pt] water
3 ½ dl [0,7 pt] plain yoghurt
2 dl [0,4 pt] wholemeal wheat, coarse
3 dl [0,6 pt] wholemeal wheat, fine
1 liter [2,1 pt] flour
1 dl [0,2 pt] oatmeal
2 teaspoons salt
Crumble the yeast into a mixing bowl, dissolve it in lukewarm water. Add the yogurt, flour, oatmeal and salt. Go a little easy on the flour to check if you need it all. Mix together to form a smooth dough and let it rise under plastic wraps in a warm place until about double in size.
Form the dough into two loaves. Leave them to rise for about 20 minutes and bake in the oven at 225° C / 435° F for about 30 minutes.
